Jake Placid Doghouse is an established destination retail business on Main Street in Lake Placid that prides itself in carrying all sorts of stuff that makes dogs happy. We're independently owned and operated, and dedicated to making the lives of dogs (and cats) and their humans fun and healthy. Here are the nuts and bolts in a more traditional format:

Retail Sales Representatives work closely with our store manager and the rest of the team to perform and assist with all day to day operations; ensuring customers have the best shopping experience possible

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assure the store and its employees create a welcoming and fun environment that values all customers and their pets. Provide outstanding customer service. Process transactions through the POS system in a quick and efficient manner. Perform Store opening and closing procedures. Maintain a high quality store appearance. Assist with inventory control through proper receiving and reporting procedure as well as conducting periodic physical inventory counts.

Experience and qualifications:

Any combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Physical requirements:

The requirements listed below are representative of the requisite background required to adequately perform the functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing and pulling are continuously required activities of this position. Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs (unassisted) on an infrequent basis. Verbal and written communications with customers and coworkers, and keyboarding are continuously required activities of this position.
